What is Agiris?

Agiris is the industrial radiography department of MDS Nordion S.A. and is a pioneer and global leader in the manufacturing of non-destructive gamma radiography testing equipment and radioactive sources.

The Agiris department boasts over 20 years of innovative experience in the manufacturing of non-destructive testing (NDT) radiography cameras and equipment. In the early 1990's Agiris introduced the GammaMat® TSI series, an ISO 3999:2000 compliant gamma radiography camera. In 1994, Agiris launched Selenium-75 (Se-75) devices and sources and continues to be one of the largest suppliers of Se-75 sources and radiography equipment world-wide.

The Agiris department employs two dedicated sites to the development and production of radioactive sources and equipment; one in Ottawa, Canada and the other in Fleurus, Belgium. With an extensive distributor network, Agiris is uniquely positioned to offer camera, equipment and sources to over 40 countries world wide.

Training programmes, a dedicated help desk and on-going equipment inspection and repairs means customers are never alone. As a leader in setting safe standards for working with radioactive materials, the Agiris department works closely with all international regulatory agencies to ensure all regulatory requirements are met or exceeded.
